I am addicted to crochet (and Typo, fabric, yarn, scrapbooking supplies... amongst other things)
It took me aaaaageess to get crochet but eventually it clicked and I love it!
As a part of our Advent swap the lovely Cat gave me a fab Crochet Dish Cloth book.
I am going to attempt to make all 99 designs this year.
I started with number 40 (as you do), with some pretty cotton yarn I bought in the USA.
and then I have made number 1 (three times... I Like this pattern!)
I'm struggling with number 2 and its been pulled apart several times
And Im currently working on number 3
I have discovered I'm a bit of a loose hooker so I've had to drop my crochet hook size down to keep to gauge. But they are pretty addictive.
If you haven't used crochet or knitted dishcloths before, let me tell you, they are awesome! As well as looking pretty, they wear well and they don't get smelly.
So for a giveaway today in my 500th post giveaway week I have....
Two crochet dishclothes and some Lolly disguises (because we ALL need Lolly disguises!)
Leave a comment and if you missed yesterday's giveaway be sure to head over here and enter too.
All giveaways are open to everyone and close on 31st January.
And I'm going to link up my crochet makings over here on Thursday with Leonie.

I have often envied you ladies and your dishcloths!!
Wish I could crochet but I have FAR too many hobbies now!!!
Ooo gotta love the giveaways ;-) You are far too talented all you crochet ladies! I sometimes wish I could do it - but I seem far too busy to learn!
oh wow my kids are jumping up and down about those lollies - I don't think we have those in NZ? I'm super addicted to wash cloths, they are a great project to have in your bag for "crochet on the go"
Hello Leonie! You are in a safe space here ;)
I've only completed one so far, but just made a crochet doily this week (!!!!!) (i'm in love with her), I plan to make a few more cloths though, and some mini ones for wiping millas face after her food!
x
I love that you are going to try and make all 99 that is awesome and I love those lolly disguises how much fun is that!
can not crochet for the life of me.
you're my only hope in owning a bloggy dishcloth just like the rest of the whole entire bloggy world that hooks like pros ;)(or so it feels like).
do i sound desperate enough...?
go you ! love the colours in the top one, looks too pretty to clean up messes
PICK MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Very cool! I tried learning to crochet last year and gave up... might have to try again :)
i keep hearing how crochet is easier than knitting, i'm so tempted to go over to the other side!! i am a total convert to hand made face cloths and dish cloths and so i think making all 99 in the book is an admirable goal!
lolly disguises is new to me, they look ACE totally have to hunt those down.
ps love the new blog header and photo x
Me, me, me! I am loving learning crochet and dishclots are next on my list.
P.S. I am locked and loaded for Christchurch and I can't wait to see you again and give you a squeeze xxxx
Go you - what a great project! Those lollies look like a hoot! And thanks in advance for linking up :)
Clever! I learned to crochet just over a year ago but couldn't get my edges to stay uncurled.
Love the lolly disguises too!
Thanks for the chance to win.
I love those lolly disguises! Haven't seen those before!
Very clever! I really want to crochet as well, but so far it's been an epic fail! :)
I have been knitting the Down to Earth dishcloths this year and am up to number 9..... Can get out 2 every 2-3 nights. And I did an impulse Typo shop today - oops.... Every single time I am in there I carry a bag out. (all of about 80 metres from my house too.....). I'd love some crocheted dishcloths - crocheting the entire books sounds awesome!
(I am doing a supermarket bag swap on my blog at the moment :). )
These are great! Can't wait to see all 99! I'm inclined to be on the look out for the same book or similar one! Xx
Pick me, pick me. Love love love them. They're gorgeous. Oh and lolllllllllies.........
I have never used or made a crochet dishcloth... but it seems everybody has fallen in love with them! Maybe I should give them a try!
Hannah

You have been busy!....and I second Juliet, I'll donate aswell to Widge :)
ahaha I wonder if we have those lollies here yet
now I reeeeeally need to learn to crochet (I actually bought some hooks from Spotlight last weekend)
Very nice dishcloths! Funny, but I've only ever knitted dishcloths and crochet potholders. No reason!
I knit dishclothes, but haven't learnt to crochet, and yours look so nice.
Oh, I love these dishclothes. The lollies too. x
I love seeing your crochet dishcloths on IG. Unfortunately, crochet is my nemesis. One day I shall get it, I hope.
